Maya Leiah, but most know me as Mia. I'm the girl that sits in the back row of your Math class and keeps to herself with her head down, while the rest of the class batts their eyes, giggling, pretending they don't know that I can see it and hear what they're saying.

I'm a first-class music head who's favorite band is Hanson. I've been writing since I was ten years old, and I've grown to know nothing else. I tend to revolve my life around music, because I've convinced myself it's the only thing that will save me compared to prescription drugs that just manage to make me crazier and less complex than I already am. But, I'm okay with that. Because in some fucked up way or another, we're all suffering from something and music just happens to be my mojo.

I spend my Summers tending to sick and underprivileged children as a Camp Counselor for Project Sunshine. And I find swimming in swampy cold water, dressing up in feathers and sequins, running around in mud barefoot, sleeping in cabins with bunk beds that give you splinters, getting water ballooned in the face, being attacked by paint and markers, and looking each child in the face everyday not knowing if they're going to make it so much better than laying out in 115° weather with nothing better to do. If I was capable of it, I think I'd save the world.
